Bridging States, Building Trust: The Story of a Seamless Installation

At DMI Denver, our mission is to "Build Strong Alliances and Interpersonal Relationships With Our Clients." This commitment came to life when McCann Custom Interiors reached out in February 2024 with a massive project requiring a reliable receiving and installation team.

Hannah, the founder and lead designer at McCann Custom Interiors, shared that she had been working on this project for four years. The scope was impressive: furnishing both a main house and a guest house in Crested Butte, Colorado—nearly five hours away from our Denver warehouse. The amount FF&E was substantial, adding to the logistical challenges of managing such a project across state lines.

We began receiving furniture for the project in April 2024, keeping open and consistent communication with Hannah to ensure seamless inventory management. While it wasn’t clear if she had previous experience managing a project this far from home, her professionalism and adaptability were remarkable. Trusting a new partner with such a large endeavor isn’t easy, and we deeply appreciated her confidence in our team.

After months of carefully receiving and storing inventory, and navigating construction delays, the installation was scheduled for December 2024. Winter in Colorado can bring unpredictable road closures and hazardous conditions, especially in snow-heavy resort towns like Crested Butte. Thankfully, the weather cooperated.

We sent two 26-foot trucks and a team of seven for the installation. Hannah collaborated directly with Ray, our lead field coordinator, to ensure everything went smoothly. Her thoughtfulness didn’t go unnoticed—she provided our team with drinks, snacks, and lunch, which they greatly appreciated.

The crew worked tirelessly and meticulously, from the moment they arrived after the five-hour drive until the final piece was placed and every bit of trash was loaded back onto the trucks. Over the course of three days, the project was completed successfully, with both precision and care.

The true measure of success came in the form of heartfelt feedback from Hannah and the lasting relationship we’ve built with McCann Custom Interiors. This experience reaffirmed our belief that strong partnerships lead to outstanding results.
